2016 was certainly a rollercoaster year – for everyone, not just businesses! Now 2017 is here, we’re wondering what the year ahead holds for us and for our organisations. Here are some of the challenges that businesses are likely to be facing in 2017.
What affects the economy can affect businesses, and in 2017, de-globalisation looks set to continue changing the global economy.
Cybercrime became increasingly prevalent in 2016 and is likely to remain an important issue for businesses and individuals throughout 2017.
As demand for all departments and roles to add strategic value continues, outsourcing may become more common (as may be seen in the HR industry in 2015) or less common (as seen in the IT industry in 2016).
Big Data and Cloud Computing
Big data and cloud computing are both further integrating into business as well as with each other, and offer new business models whilst challenging existing business models.
Wellbeing in the workplace
Workplace wellbeing has been an increasingly important factor for organisations; not only do employees want their wellbeing to be catered for but they also perform better at work when it is.
MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses)
MOOCs are disruptors to traditional corporate learning, but also offer new opportunities to those willing to integrate them into their business.
As well as these, you’re likely to be facing your own unique set of challenges. We wish you all the best of luck in your businesses in 2017 – we hope you have a happy and successful year!
